Creative Writing Mentor

Taylor (she/they) is jill-of-all-trades creative, with a background in music, dance, and writing and healing. She has a storied creative history and has always worked in multiple disciplines. As an undergraduate at Emerson in Boston, she majored in Creative Writing and Dance. In 2014, she was a finalist for the Montreal International Poetry Prize – one of the biggest poetry prizes in the world – and that same year was a member of the Denver-based contemporary dance company Avatar Movement. In 2019 she received her MFA in Creative Writing from UC Irvine, ranked as one of the top programs in the nation. She is currently a music journalist and feature series curator for the global electronic music publication Resident Advisor. She is also working on her first memoir.
