Madelife and organizations Join Hands to Host "Art for Hope"
Boulder, Colorado - Madelife and several local organizations have partnered to host "Art for Hope," an exhibition and silent auction fundraiser aimed at ending the stigma and raising awareness about substance use disorders and providing support to those in need.
The event will run for a month, starting on April 29th, 2023, at 1421 Pearl Street on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, Colorado and run through May 24th.
The event will feature an art exhibit by William Stoehr, whose paintings explore the impact of substance abuse on individuals, families, and society. Attendees will also have the opportunity to bid on Stoehr's paintings, as well as those of other local artists and organizations including madelife artists, BVSD students, and more. Additionally, the event will include music, films, guest speakers, and other activities throughout the month-long exhibition. Please see www.madelife.com/art-for-hope for times and event details.
Megan Reznicek, one of the event's organizers, said, "This event promises to be a unique and memorable celebration of the power of art and the resilience of the human spirit.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the work of the benefiting organizations committed to providing resources and services to those in need, and aims to raise awareness about the impacts of substance use disorders in our community.
100 % of the funds raised during the "Art for Hope" exhibition and silent auction will go towards supporting local nonprofit organizations that provide support and resources to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. These organizations offer counseling, treatment, and other resources to help people overcome addiction.
"We believe that events like these are critical to creating awareness about substance use disorders and reducing the stigma associated with addiction," said Megan Reznicek, the Creative Director at madelife. "We are grateful to madelife and the other participating organizations for organizing this event and for their commitment to supporting our work."
"Art for Hope" is open to everyone. We invite you to join us in this meaningful event, to enjoy the art and entertainment, and to make a difference in the lives of those struggling with substance use disorders.
