In Celebration of Boulder Arts Week and the Month of Photography, madelife will be hosting a painting with light workshop.

In this 2 hour workshop we will explore the basics of light painting. Light painting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera. A camera with manual settings, including a B (bulb) setting and a tripod are required. After a demonstration we will all experiment and each individual will go home with digital images. This exercise will help one understand some of the most basic fundamentals of light and it’s relation to the camera.

This Workshop will be conducted by madelife creative accelerator photography mentors Scott Clark, Tim D’Antonio and Creative Coordinator Cain Czopek
