Printmaking workshop with artist and printmaker Michelle Miller

In this multi-level screen printing class, you’ll learn how to make hand-cut stencils and utilize a variety of printing and layering techniques to create numerous beautiful printed designs for paper, canvas or fabric. Leave with your own original hand-pulled screen prints.
Course materials are provided and included in course fee – screens, stencil materials, printing inks and papers. Feel free to bring any of your own materials to experiment with including but not limited to colored pencils, paint, acrylic paint, paintings on canvas and any special inks you might have in your own studio.
Class limited to 12.

Bring a smock or clothes you are OK getting paint on.

Michelle Miller, 25, is a Boulder based printmaker and painter who uses they/them pronouns. Their work consists primarily of large scale, abstract, vibrant prints relevant to their queer identity and experiences traveling. Michelle Miller graduated with a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2015 and has been making work as a member at Art Gym in Denver, CO. They recently exhibited their first solo show, at TCC Chicago (Chicago, IL) and are a featured artist at Norcross & Scott (Chicago IL). Michelle was most recently an Artist in Residence at Kala Art Institute in Berkeley, CA this June 2017 and an artist in madeline’s Vibrant Femmes show July 2017.
