Documenting your Artwork Part two: Editing and Post production

Documentation is an essential part of getting your work out there. Whether it’s building your website, submitting to a juried show, or in prep to make the perfect Christmas card. The first step is photographing it. Easier said than done. Come to madelife and learn how to accurately photograph your work while troubleshooting common problems that arise while you’re doing it. How do you format my camera so there isn’t an over-exposure, under-exposure, or blur? What about light balance? What lights to use? Where to position lights in relation to the camera to reduce glare? Your work is framed and has glass over it? There’s a trick for that.
In our first workshop on documenting your art, you left knowing how to photograph 2D work (painting, drawings, prints) using a DSLR camera, shutter release, tripod, light kit, nails, and a wall. In this workshop, learn all the post-production for these shots to make sure your files are correctly formatted, look their best, and are ready for you to use.

I’d like to attend this workshop but must have missed Part 1, which seems critical. Is there a date that these workshops would be held again in the future?

      Hi Allison,

Attendance to part 1 of this workshop is not critical, especially if you already have photos of your artwork. Part 2 is great for anyone who wants to know how to take their photos into Photoshop for post-production. Thank you for your interest!
