City Repair Boulder + madelife is holding a FUN-raiser to support the street mural painting event of Whittier Elementary School‘s Hug n’ Go lane on Pine Street and 20th. Come enjoy a presentation outlining the City Repair mission, the process and details of the Pine Street Mural Project, a brief video about City Repair coming to Boulder, to be followed by youth presenter/performers, DJ’s, a dance party and silent auction!
We’ve acquired permitting and support from the City of Boulder, the Office of Arts & Culture, Department of Transportation, Whittier International Elementary School, and the neighbors of the area. We are now looking to raise funds and materials for the painting party happening the weekend of July 15th!
Join us to celebrate art and community and to support the creation of the largest street mural in Boulder, Colorado.
City Repair is a movement that began in Portland 20 years ago, which facilitates artistic and ecologically-oriented placemaking and community building. Our current project is the creation of a student-designed street mural on the Hug n’ Go lane at Whittier International Elementary School located at 2008 Pine Street in Boulder.
