Star dust?? A zillion cells held in by epidermis, that’s just the beginning, or cant/won’t. My work? pruner? paint brush? oar? hammer? whats the job?
How did you get started as an artist?
Big bang? And definitely through the back door and default.
What piece of work best represents you and why?
Don’t know this one, canyon break?
How does material influence your designs?
I work in many different mediums, opportunity, abundance, ergonomics, strength and weakness and for sure, demand.
Where do you go to get inspired?
It’s a perpetual flow with peaks and valleys and flat horizons in between.
What have you learned through making that has surprised you?
Describe the setting of where one of your designs will be in the year 2050.
I have put alot of steel art out there, it will last awhile.
What is it like when you collaborate with other artists?
Dancing, some ya like some ya don’t. Always great in its own moment.
How do you balance being an artist and being an entrepreneur?
Painting is a luxury, making art is a gift, business~ entrepreneur, it just is, got to ~ get to ….
What is your process for coming up with new designs?
Random acts work, that is, if on the channel, the info comes.
I think it is the precise point where all civilization advances, good or bad, it’s a very long chain and its dendritic.
What is playing on your stereo?
Nothing or putamayo, world something or KGNU.
What’s in your cup in the mornings?
Could be a paintbrush, I have alot of cups. Sure, coffee.
Which artist inspires you most right now?
AS, DQ, PW, K A-Jabar, J Mitchell
What’s the best thing about your studio/workspace/workshop?
I work out of 3 shops and they are all FINE places/gifts….. my painting studio is sick, or so I’ve been told. But no beach or big sky view…..it is what I’ve made it.
I dont, I just ride the metaphoric wave.
What’s the best part about being an artist?
Freedom, thats easy.
